Rocco discussed the personal concern during his appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Friday, August 14. During the interview, the actor became open about how he views his body and admitted that his hips and búttocks have sometimes made him feel self-conscious.
“Kung hindi n’yo alam, ako’y very insecure sa aking balakang," Rocco revealed.

"Para sa akin, pangit tingnan na medyo malaki ang puwet ko. As in, nag-inquire na ako kung paano magpabawas ng puwet.”
The revelation prompted a reaction from Boy Abunda, who pointed out that some people actually seek the opposite when it comes to their body.
“Ah talaga? Ang iba kasi nagpapadagdag.”
Rocco then shared that his wife, former volleyball player Melissa Gohing, had also questioned his desire to change that particular feature of his body.
“’Yon nga po ang sabi ng asawa ko eh, ‘Yung iba nga nagpapadagdag pa eh, bakit mo ipapabawas ’yan?’”
His wife's perspective appeared to make Rocco reconsider how he viewed his own body. Instead of focusing entirely on the feature he considered an insecurity, he said he has gradually started recognizing that perhaps acceptance is the better approach.
“So, doon ko nasasabi na, ‘Okay, siguro dapat tanggapin ko ’to.’”
Despite becoming more accepting of his appearance, Rocco admitted that his body shape can still create a practical challenge when it comes to choosing clothes. In particular, he said finding pants that fit him properly is not always easy.
“Medyo konting alalay lang sa pagsukat ng mga pants. Kasi hindi lahat okay sa akin.”
Rocco's candid admission offered a glimpse into a more personal side of the actor, showing that even celebrities known for their physiques can have features they feel uncertain about.
His comments also highlighted how personal body image can be. While Rocco once considered his figure something he wanted to change, the reactions of those around him, including his wife, have helped him slowly embrace a feature that others may actually view positively.

The actor revealed that he had to pass on several projects because the character required him to maintain a particular haircut. Despite this, he said he is having fun portraying a ruthless syndicate leader who will go up against Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid in the upcoming action-drama.
