Will Ashley revealed that he was once rejected by Mika Salamanca when he tried to court the actress, bringing an unexpected twist to their playful exchange during a recent vlog.

The revelation came while the two were filming a “24 Hours Jowa Challenge” in Vietnam. The challenge was initially Will’s idea after Mika surprised him with a trip to the country in a previous vlog. Since they decided to extend their stay, they continued their time together for another video.
At the end of the challenge, Mika jokingly reminded their viewers that their temporary “relationship” was coming to an end.
“Just like any challenges; we reached [the end of] our contract, we reached our deadline ng ating contract. Kailangan na natin magpaalam sa ating mga viewers as mag-jowa,” Mika said.

Will, however, appeared reluctant to end their pretend romance.
“Ayoko nga,” he replied jokingly.
He then brought up a detail from their past, revealing that Mika had previously rejected him when he attempted to court her.
“Tingnan mo may end tuloy. Kung 'di mo ako binasted last time, edi araw-araw tayong ganito.”
Mika laughed at the remark but quickly chose not to elaborate on what happened between them.
“That's a topic for another day.”
Despite the teasing, Will shifted to a more sincere tone and expressed gratitude for how their relationship had developed over time.
“Pero again, we are grateful na that happened. Look at us now,” the actor said.
Mika agreed, emphasizing the friendship they have built.
“Look at us now, we're stronger as friends.”
Before wrapping up the vlog, Mika also thanked Will for the experience of being his partner for the day.
“It's been a pleasure to be your girlfriend today, sir. I hope I made you smile today,” she said.

He also pointed out that his feelings toward Mika were not exactly a secret.
“Well, I think everyone knows naman na about this. Kasi since first week na sabi ko na, 'di ba?” Will said.
Will had previously spoken about his interest in getting closer to Mika outside social media. During a conversation with fellow male housemates, Emilio Daez asked him which woman he wanted to approach and possibly court. Will named Mika.
“[Magko-confess] ako kay Mika kasi kilala ko siya sa social media lang. Siguro ang iko-confess ko sa kaniya is I wanna be friends with you more kahit sa labas. Sobrang bumilib ako kung paano siya mag-isip, kung gaano siya ka-strong as a person and kung gaano siya ka-understanding sa lahat ng bagay,” he said.
He further explained that he wanted people to see Mika beyond the image associated with her online presence.
“Gusto ko lang na ma-prove niya sa lahat ng tao kung sino talaga siya hindi lang sa kung paano siya nakilala sa social media.”
While their past may have included a rejection, Will and Mika now appear to have developed a stronger friendship, with their recent Vietnam adventure showing their comfortable and playful dynamic.
