During her appearance on Melai Cantiveros' online talk show Kuan On One, Iwa opened up about a specific, unforgettable moment during her time as a contestant on GMA's hit reality talent search. Known for her strong personality, Iwa admitted that the intense competition got to her when the show was nearing its final stretch.
Iwa explained that a sudden feeling of isolation and feeling teamed up against made her decide to quit.

"So noong time na yun, nagqu-quit na ako. Ginising ko ang mga direktor."
Disregarding her spot in the Top 6, she confronted the production crew in the middle of the night about this.
Unbeknownst to her at the moment, the production team made sure to capture every second of her venting.
"Syempre, kinunan nila yun. Naka-video'yun," Iwa said with a smile. "Umiiyak ako nun. Naglalabas ako ng sama ng loob... Ayun, nagalit ako, tumatalak ang bruha."
Concluding her hilarious story, Iwa laughingly admitted how her emotional rant ultimately impacted her final ranking in the competition.
"Ang ending, natalo tuloy ako kasi nagmura ako on national TV," Iwa confessed lightheartedly, leaving host Melai in stitches.
