Comedienne Moi Bien reflected on the painful experiences she endured before becoming known in the entertainment industry, revealing that she chose kindness over revenge when she eventually found success.

During her guest appearance on "i-Listen with Kara David," Moi shared that she was often bullied and looked down upon by people in her hometown when she was still struggling financially. Years later, after establishing herself in show business, she found herself face-to-face with some of those same individuals.

Moi recalled that before returning to her province, actor Piolo Pascual encouraged her to bring along clothes from the brands he endorsed. Wearing nicer clothes made her feel more confident than she had ever been.

"So, nu’ng umuwi ako sa probinsya, maayus-ayos na ‘yung suot ko, hindi na ‘yung gusgusin, ganyan. Medyo, feeling ko maganda na ako."

She admitted that seeing one of the people who bullied her during elementary school briefly made her think about proving how much her life had changed.

"Eh, nakita ko ‘yung nang-api sa akin nu’ng elementary, sabi ko talaga (sa isip ko), ‘Oh, sino ka ngayon? At sinong maganda sa atin?’ Pero hindi ko na sinabi, kasi baka mamaya sabihin naman, ang yabang."

Rather than confronting those who mistreated her, Moi revealed that she instead bought them food and even handed them money.

"Tsaka ‘yung nang-api sa akin sa Cogeo, ay, ganoon din. Nilibre ko sila ng pagkain. ‘Oh, ito, pera.’"

She emphasized that she never reminded them of the hurt they caused her. Instead, she simply wanted them to see how far she had come through perseverance.

"Pero hindi naman ako ‘yung parang sinasabi, ‘O, inaapi niyo ako dati.’ Dati kasi lagi akong nililibre. Tapos noong nagkapera ‘ko, bumalik talaga ako sa Cogeo. Nakaganu’n (nakapamewang) talaga ako. ‘O ito pera pang-inom,’"

Moi explained that while she appreciates the people who helped her along the way, she also wanted those who once underestimated her to witness her progress.

"Ibinabalik ko rin naman yung kabaitan ng ibang taong gumawa sa akin. Pero ‘yung mga nang-api sa akin, nakatayo lang. O, kayo pa rin ‘yan diyan, nalulusak. Ako medyo nakaangat na sa life."

The actress also became emotional as she discussed her continuing responsibility to support her parents, relatives, and even her child's college education. Although helping family members has strained both her patience and finances at times, she said she finds it difficult to turn them away.

"Pero since matanda na ‘yung magulang ko, feeling ko, sige, bahala na. Ipagdasal na lang natin ito.’ Marami akong bills na binabayaran every month."

Despite the challenges, Moi said she remains committed to extending help whenever she can, believing that compassion is more valuable than resentment.

She accidentally locked the actor outside his own home after falling asleep from extreme exhaustion. With no way to get inside, Piolo reportedly climbed onto the roof to gain access to the house. Despite the unusual situation, Moi said Piolo remained patient and understanding and never blamed her for what happened.
