During a now-viral podcast interview with directors Antoinette Jadaone and JP Habac, Mimiyuuuh reflected on the double standards she believes exist when people from less privileged backgrounds become successful. She questioned why affluent individuals are often praised for sharing their purchases and experiences, while self-made personalities like her receive criticism for doing the same.

Explaining her point, Mimiyuuuh said she wanted to raise an issue that had been on her mind for some time.

“Gusto ko rin itong ilabas. Bakit tayong mga Pilipino na kunwari na may nakita tayong mayaman na tao at nag-share siya ng mga pinagbibili niya ay naa-amaze tayo?‘Wow. Ang ganda naman nito. Nakuha niya‘yung ganyan, ganito.’Pero why when it comes to me na isang self-made at hard worker na‘pag nag-share ako ng mga bagay na nakukuha ko or nae-experience ko ay bakit nagagalit‘yung mga tao?”

Mimiyuuuh then spoke about one of the remarks she frequently receives online, with some accusing her of forgetting where she came from after achieving success.

Responding to those comments, she stressed that working hard was always meant to help her escape poverty.

“‘Iniwan mo na kami sa kanal.’ Kaya ako nag-work hard para makaalis sa kanal.”

Podcast host Antoinette echoed the discussion by asking why people would want to remain in the "kanal," using it as a metaphor for staying in difficult circumstances instead of striving for a better life.

Mimiyuuuh agreed with the sentiment and gave a brief but candid response. “Bakit ba natin gustong manatili sa kanal? Eh ang baho riyan,” she remarked.

Despite now enjoying the lifestyle she once dreamed of—including wearing designer clothes, living in a comfortable home, and being able to provide for her family—Mimiyuuuh emphasized that success has not changed who she is as a person.

She explained that her appreciation for quality and beautiful things had existed long before fame and financial stability. According to her, those aspirations became one of the biggest motivations behind her determination to work hard because they were things she genuinely wanted but could not previously afford.

Toward the end of the conversation, Mimiyuuuh encouraged people not to limit themselves by believing they only deserve less. She said many opportunities and better experiences are within reach if people are willing to pursue them instead of settling.

“Bakit ba natin ipinagkakait ang best para sa sarili natin? Why do we always settle for less? Ang best things in life ay andiyan lang‘yan. All you have to do is get [them]. Sometimes nagse-settle tayo [kaya] hindi natin nakukuha‘yung mga meant for us.”
