“I’m in the hospital right now because two months ago, I had [a] Pap smear and my gynecologist found pre-cancer cells on my cervix,” Jeraldine shared in the video.

Although pre-cancer cells are not considered cancer, medical experts explain that they consist of abnormal cells that could eventually develop into cancer if left untreated. Because of this, healthcare providers recommend regular cervical screening to detect changes early and determine whether treatment is necessary.

Jeraldine said she decided to publicly discuss her experience not only to update her followers but also to raise awareness about the value of regular Pap smear examinations.

“So today I’m doing a procedure to get those cancer cells removed, hopefully. I’d like to use this opportunity to let all of the women know the importance of doing a Pap smear,” she maintained.

Her candid post quickly drew support from followers, many of whom expressed concern for her recovery while also sharing their own experiences with cervical screening and HPV prevention.
