Gab Lagman has addressed speculation linking him to beauty queen Gazini Ganados, saying their relationship remains one of close friendship despite persistent rumors.

Speaking on Wednesday, the actor dismissed assumptions about their closeness by emphasizing that they have shared a long-standing friendship that dates back nearly a decade. While fans continue to speculate about the real status of their relationship, Lagman chose to focus on what he described as the truth, ABS-CBN reported.

"I'm proud of her and she's my best friend. We've known each other for a long time, nine years na yata," Lagman said.

Rather than fueling speculation, the actor stressed that both of them are currently prioritizing their individual careers. He said there is nothing more he wishes to add beyond expressing support for Ganados and excitement over his upcoming commitments.

"Right now, I'm just happy with the Viva All Star Games. That's all I can say. We're happy. We're focused on our careers," he added.

Outside of acting, Lagman has devoted much of his time to preparing for the Viva All Star Games, scheduled to take place at the Araneta Coliseum on August 16. He shared that training has become a regular part of his routine as he and his teammates work to build chemistry ahead of the exhibition event.

"I am super excited. We do training with Coach Jerry Codiñera. We do weekly trainings para may chemistry kami. I also do drills with other coaches to work on my skills. Kasi siyempre, we want to give everything to the fans," he said.

Lagman will be playing alongside Jairus Aquino, Joseph Marco, Rabin Angeles, Jerome Ponce, and Mark Gallo. According to him, everyone on the team is determined to give their best performance for supporters who will watch them at the historic venue.

"All out na ibibigay namin para sa team," he assured.

The event also carries personal significance for the actor, who revealed that stepping onto the Araneta Coliseum court fulfills a childhood dream. Long before entering show business, he had hoped to pursue basketball professionally, making the opportunity especially meaningful.

"My first dream is to become a professional basketball player, so dream come true na makalaro ako sa Araneta Coliseum," he said.
"I am really excited."

Gab Lagman is a Filipino actor and model best known for his roles in popular TV series such as Halik and Chasing in the Wild.

Gazini Ganados is a Filipino fashion model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Philippines 2019 and placed in the Top 20 at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant.
