Lovi Poe officially joins Star Magic, eyes dream FPJ-inspired project

Actress Lovi Poe has officially become part of the Kapamilya family after signing with ABS-CBN's talent management arm, Star Magic, during a welcome event held on Tuesday, July 21.

The actress received a warm introduction from the agency, with members of the Star Magic family describing her as "a true superwoman who can do it all" in recognition of her achievements as an actress, recording artist, producer, entrepreneur, model, wife, and mother.

Speaking before the media, Poe expressed appreciation for the opportunity to begin a new chapter in her career.

"It's just nice to be with family now. So, I think more than anything I'm just really grateful," she said.

Poe was joined at the event by her husband, Montgomery Blencowe, whom she credited for supporting her career despite the challenges of maintaining a long-distance marriage.

"He's been very supportive. He's been traveling back and forth wherever I am," Poe said.

"Talagang grateful ako he's been helping and still want to achieve my goals even if its been hard for us. We've been married but we're still doing long-distance once in a while. It's a lot but then it takes a real man to be able to make something like that happen," she added.

The actress also shared that becoming part of Star Magic is something she never imagined growing up.

"I would always watch about Star Magic or hear about Star Magic in the past when I was younger and just to be part of this family I just can't believe it," Poe said.

"For me, its' a dream come true," she added.

Lovi Poe is a Filipina actress, singer, and producer recognized for her impressive range and enduring presence in Philippine entertainment. She is the daughter of the late Fernando Poe Jr., the legendary "King of Philippine Movies," and former actress Rowena Moran. Lovi began her showbiz career in 2006 and rose to prominence through hit GMA Network series, including Bakekang, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real, and Mulawin vs. Ravena. In 2021, she officially transferred to ABS-CBN, where she took on new projects, including a role in FPJ's Batang Quiapo, further expanding her career as a Kapamilya artist.

Earlier, Lovi also marked her second wedding anniversary with husband Monty Blencowe by sharing a touching message on social media. Monty later responded to her post with a sweet emoji, delighting many of their followers.
