Building a peaceful life after a relationship ends is a challenge, but Andi Eigenmann and her former partner, Jake Ejercito, are showing everyone how to put their child first.

In a sit-down interview with broadcast journalist Karen Davila, Andi shared a rare, raw look at the current state of her co-parenting journey with Jake. The former actress, who now leads a quiet life in Siargao, bared that despite past hurdles, the two have established a healthy routine for their daughter, Ellie.
"We're not really like other parents or co-parents that you see our relationship on social media, but we have a really good co-parenting relationship, I would say," Andi shared comfortably. "I'm so grateful to have him as my partner in raising Ellie," she added as well.
While their communication is smooth, Andi noted that raising a child presents new challenges as the years roll by. Ellie is currently hitting big teenage milestones, requiring the parents to look eye-to-eye more than ever.

"We're at the extreme difficult level," Andi admitted with a light smile. "You know, we have a teenager. Ellie's turning 15 this year, and she's going on to Grade 9. So we're being faced with more difficult challenges... I feel like us really getting along and seeing eye-to-eye is more inevitable at this stage more than ever," she reflected.
When Karen asked how they managed to reach a point of complete forgiveness and stay on good terms after their split, Andi gave a beautiful, straightforward answer centered on parental love for their unica hija.
"Madali if it's for the love of your child," Andi explained gently. "We love Ellie so much. And when we were still together, he knows how badly I wanted to be this specific type of parent... I guess it comes from that. Just like really holding onto what we know of each other."
Andi concluded the sweet talk by noting that while their romantic chapter didn't work out, their mutual respect as mother and father has stayed strong through time.
"Sadly, we didn't end up together, but it doesn't mean that the willingness to want to be that parent to Ellie is still there. It's still there. So we support each other in that way, I guess, even if we don't talk about it," she shared.
