Filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone recently entertained thousands of social media users after candidly sharing an embarrassing yet hilarious experience that happened during one of her café visits.

The award-winning director revealed on Instagram that she accidentally left a café without paying for the Americano she had ordered because she was rushing to catch her Grab ride. Her story immediately drew laughter from fans and fellow celebrities, who appreciated her honesty and sense of humor.

Recalling the incident, Jadaone wrote:

According to the filmmaker, the waiter loudly called her attention several times as she walked away from the establishment.

She shared:

“Jusqqqqq si manong waiter! MAM MAM DI PA PO KAYO NAGBABAYAD! MAM DI PA KAYO BAYAD! MAM ‘YUNG BAYAD N’YO PO??? Kuya, sana inulit mo 3x pa, medyo nakulangan pa po ako!!!”

Despite the embarrassing situation, Jadaone chose to laugh at herself. She jokingly teased the waiter for repeatedly calling after her and said:

“Big scene si kuya! Bakit kailangang ulit-ulitin kuyaaaaaaa! Hindi ako nagbayad yes, pero hindi po ako bingi!!!”

She also tried asking if she could simply pay outside after being stopped, but the café staff politely insisted that payment had to be made inside.

“Sabi ko, kuya ok lang ba, dito ko na lang bayaran sa labas ng cash? Maaaa hindi raw pwede, dapat daw sa loob magbayad!!! Hoooooo!”

The director then returned inside the café, humorously comparing herself to a dramatic character making an unexpected comeback.

“Kaya ako’y bumalik sa loob ng café, the return of the prodigal dowter, the champion is return! Alam mo ‘yung feeling mo nakatingin sila lahat sa’yo? OO, AKO NGA ANG CUSTOMER NA HINDI NAGBAYAD NA HINABOL NI KUYA SA LABAS!!! Na para bang confidential funds ang tinangay ko, e isang americano lang ‘yun, ni walang milk! Na para bang ang linis-linis nila! Na para bang sa sobrang linis nila ay kaya nilang pumukol ng unang bato!”

Jadaone ended the story on a lighthearted note, saying:

“Pero okay na. Ang mahalaga, walang nakatakas. Walang pinatakas. Nakapagbayad. Sana all, hindi ba?”
