Kapuso actor Dustin Yu has finally addressed the long-running speculation surrounding his alleged romantic interest in Ivana Alawi and fellow Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemate Kira Balinger, explaining how those stories emerged before his current relationship with Bianca de Vera.

Speaking during his guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Thursday, July 16, Dustin admitted that he was surprised to discover the various rumors circulating after he left the Pinoy Big Brother house.

He clarified that while there was truth behind his admiration for Ivana, it was something that existed long before they became housemates.

“I'll be honest also na si Ivana kasi, naging happy crush ko way, way back pa. Parang siyempre lagi ko siyang nakikita sa social media, sobrang peak talaga e, na Ivana Alawi.”

The actor added that his admiration for the social media personality was understandable because of her popularity at the time.

“I mean, lahat naman siguro, naa-attract kay Miss Ivana, so parang ako, nu'ng nakita ko siya sa loob ng PBB at nalaman ko na makakasama ko siya, may hiya na akong naramadamn na parang 'Oh my God.'”

Aside from Ivana, Dustin also addressed the assumptions that he had developed feelings for Kira Balinger during their stay inside the famous house.

According to him, he openly acknowledged Kira's admirable qualities but stressed that his comments should not be interpreted as romantic interest.

“I mean, lahat naman kaming housemates, sinasabi namin na si Kira ay isang maganda, matalinong babae. Ako, sinabi ko lang 'yun na naglalaro kami sa game na parang sabi ko kay Kira, 'Si Kira, maganda siya, girlfriend material, okay siya,'”

Dustin emphasized that appreciating Kira as a person did not mean he had fallen for her. He firmly denied ever having romantic feelings for the actress despite the public speculation.

The Kapuso star then shifted the conversation to Bianca de Vera, making it clear where his heart stands today. He said he is fully committed to Bianca and has no intention of courting anyone else.

Reaffirming his loyalty, Dustin declared that he is “hundred percent” faithful to Bianca, putting an end to the rumors linking him romantically with other women.

Dustin Yu is a rising Filipino actor and model currently signed under GMA Network's talent management arm, Sparkle GMA Artist Center. He has steadily built a following through roles in television dramas such as Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters and Abot-Kamay na Pangarap, positioning himself as one of the network's promising young leading men.
