Former actress Bangs Garcia has officially regained her Filipino citizenship, allowing her to hold dual citizenship in both the Philippines and the United Kingdom. The announcement was made through her Instagram account, where she happily shared the milestone and reflected on how meaningful the timing of both citizenships has been.

According to Bangs, it has been nearly two years since she became a British citizen, and she was surprised to realize that both life-changing events happened in the same month, only three days apart.
She wrote:
“I just realized it’s almost been 2 years since I became a British citizen…and it all happened in July too! Just 3 days apart.”

She then shared the dates that marked the important milestones in her life.

“🇵🇭 July 14, 2026 – I reacquired my Filipino citizenship.”
Aside from celebrating her new status as a dual citizen, Bangs also noticed an amusing coincidence involving what she wore during both ceremonies.
“And here’s a fun little coincidence: I only just noticed that I wore the exact same pair of heels to both my Oath of Allegiance ceremonies for the UK and the Philippines!!!😂”

She also uploaded a photo from her recent oath-taking ceremony and proudly announced:

“Very fast! I applied on the 9th of July and got approved the next day😊 and I got lucky there was a cancellation for the Oath taking so I was able to have mine expedited for only £10 extra fee on top of the £46 application fee. The new passport application is only £55very fast!”
