Nadine explained that she began working when she was only 12 years old through commercials and modeling projects. According to her, earning money early allowed her to help send her younger brothers to school while also assisting her parents financially.
"I think because I'm a breadwinner kasi. I still am and I'm always going to be proud of that."
She continued by recalling how fulfilling it felt to support her family at such a young age.

"The thing is, I was like a breadwinner from a very young age. I think when I was 12 kasi that's when I started doing commercials, modeling, ganun, so I was able to put my siblings, my brothers to school."
The actress added that helping her loved ones has always brought her joy.
"It always felt so good being able to help at that age, you know, that you are going to provide and just help your parents. It felt good. And even until now it feels good."
Despite being grateful for that role, Nadine admitted she eventually realized that much of her life has revolved around taking care of other people.
"But I realized that I've always been taking care of other people."
She said she now wants to experience focusing on herself rather than immediately taking on another major responsibility.
"As soon as this is all over, I want to take care of myself."
Nadine further shared that being a breadwinner for many years often meant putting everyone else's needs ahead of her own.
"Being a breadwinner for a very, very long time, it's like parang you are constantly thinking about other people."
She believes that this experience is one of the biggest reasons she currently does not want to become a mother.
"I feel like I am there and that's the reason why I don't really want to become a mom."
Although she feels strongly about her decision today, Nadine clarified that she is not completely closing the door on motherhood.
"I've always said naman na it's my decision not to become a mom, but if I do become pregnant, I will commit to it."
She also acknowledged that her perspective could still evolve over time.
"I'm not closed off naman."
During the conversation, Nadine also shared that her boyfriend, Christophe Bariou, definitely wants to have children someday.
"He wants kids, for sure."
However, she explained that she still has many personal goals she hopes to accomplish before considering such a life-changing commitment.
"I feel like I have so much more I wanna do in life."
She added that she continues to support her family financially and hopes to eventually experience a period where she can focus on herself.
"I am still supporting my family, so parang gusto ko na ma-feel muna that I'm not supporting anyone for a good period of time."
Nadine also reflected on similar remarks she made during an October 2025 interview with TV Patrol, where she admitted that motherhood feels overwhelming because of her long years of working and her commitment to her career and businesses.
For now, the award-winning actress remains firm in prioritizing personal growth while leaving room for the possibility that her views may naturally change in the future.
