Her remarks resurfaced online following her interview with Karmina Constantino, where she reflected on generosity, friendship, and financial wisdom after being asked about fellow actress Dolly de Leon publicly acknowledging the help she once received from Domingo.
De Leon had previously shared that Domingo extended financial assistance during a difficult period, including helping pay for her child's education and household expenses. Hearing those stories mentioned again surprised Domingo.
We’re sisters. You help your sister, brother."

She explained that their bond was formed through years of working together under the guidance of their late mentor.
“We have the same mentor.
For Domingo, helping someone should come without expectations or emotional debts attached. She believes assistance loses its sincerity if it comes with the expectation of permanent gratitude.
“And then ‘pag tinulungan mo, kalimutan mo na. Kalimutan mo na ‘yun. Itinulong mo na ‘yun, eh. Anong gusto mo? Habambuhay tatanawin?”
The actress also described herself as naturally protective of the people closest to her.
Looking back on De Leon's rise to international recognition, Domingo admitted she felt deeply happy seeing her longtime colleague finally receive global appreciation.
She’s really talented. She really likes this. Proud na proud ako. Alam ko ‘yung pinagdaanan naming lahat.”
Having spent more than three decades in the entertainment industry, Domingo also shared practical financial advice for younger artists. Instead of immediately purchasing luxury items, she encouraged them to spend wisely and build financial security.
She further emphasized that financial stability provides freedom and better opportunities.

Pero kapag marami kayong savings, you have all the time to choose and you have the best options.”
