Actor Pepe Herrera is looking beyond his career in entertainment as he pursues a long-term dream centered on wellness, sustainability, and community healing.

During his guest appearance on "Oh My Gan!," Herrera opened up about his vision of establishing what he calls the Common Ground Center, a sanctuary that would encourage people to reconnect with nature, care for one another, and embrace sustainable living.
According to Herrera, the center would ideally be located on top of a mountain, providing a peaceful environment where visitors could learn practical and holistic ways of improving their lives.
He said the facility would offer programs on organic farming, natural healing, upcycling, music therapy, arts therapy, animal therapy, and other sustainable practices that promote personal growth and environmental awareness.

"It's a refuge for all creatures, all over the Philippines, all over the world," Herrera said.
The actor explained that the inspiration behind the ambitious project came from his stay at New Life Foundation in Thailand, a wellness community where he experienced a different way of living.
During his time there, Herrera witnessed how people practiced meditation, yoga, mindful eating, plant-based nutrition, farming, and support groups while building meaningful relationships within their community.
He recalled being deeply moved by the environment and the generosity shown by the people around him.
"That kind of community where everyone is at their best, at their most generous self," he said.
The experience motivated Herrera to dream of establishing a similar community in the Philippines—one that would allow individuals from different backgrounds to find their "common ground" while supporting one another through healing and personal development.
Apart from sharing his vision, Herrera also revealed that he is currently part of The Sanghiblayan Collective, a group composed of advocates from various fields dedicated to sustainability and holistic wellness.
The organization brings together professionals specializing in acupuncture, naturopathy, lifestyle medicine, biodynamic farming, and community work, among other disciplines. Through the collective, Herrera hopes to continue promoting practices that encourage healthier lifestyles while protecting the environment.
As he celebrated another year of life, Herrera said his birthday wish reflects the same ideals that inspire his dream project.
"Thriving world," he said.
