"I don't enjoy it. Like for me, it's like, 'Oh my...' I get anxiety. Especially when it gets heavier and heavier, or if it's gonna be a move that, like, it's been a long time since I last did it. 'Can I still do this?' or 'Can I still lift this?' It gives me anxiety," Iya explained, opening up about the mental pressure.
Despite facing those recurring waves of doubt and hesitation before a heavy lift, Iya explained that she refuses to let her initial anxiety stop her from completing her tasks, especially because of the end result.
For her, the real magic of a good workout happens only after the hardest part is completely over.
"But when I get past that... I guess it's like with any struggle, it always feels so good after. So these simple joys, these are the things that I look forward to and it helps me. Like, there's only one way for me to get to that simple joy—if I get through this part of my day. The simple joy is after the hard part. For me," Iya added beautifully.
By shifting her focus toward the rewarding feeling of finishing a difficult task, Iya has found a brilliant life hack.
"I feel that these simple joys are so nice to have because, like, it can help you get through something difficult," she concluded.
