Before Solenn Heussaff was starring in several hit shows, she was working hard behind the scenes. In her interview on Matteo G Primetime, as shared on Instagram as well, the multi-talented star shared a fascinating look back at her early career before finding her own spot under the limelight.

"I remember I would enter behind the scenes and then people would look and be like, 'Mond, ito ba, kaibigan mo 'to?' and he’s like, 'No, no, makeup artist ko 'to,'" Solenn shared with a laugh.
During those days, artists were not allowed to make specific requests about who would do their look, which actually opened a lot of doors for her. Solenn ended up handling the makeup for some of the biggest names in the industry, stunning many netizens who watched her colorful interview.
"Back then, bawal mag-request. Kaya I was able to do so many artistas. I did Angel Locsin, I did Marian Rivera, I did so many people. I’ve done Anne [Curtis] for like three covers, si Georgina [Wilson] para sa mga billboards niya," Solenn recalled.

Surprisingly, Solenn didn't know how famous her clients were at the time. Since she attended a French school in the Philippines from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade, she wasn't very familiar with them.
"The only person I knew in showbiz was Sharon Cuneta," she confessed.
This lack of showbiz knowledge resulted in a hilarious interaction with her longtime friend, host and actor Luis Manzano. Solenn shared an unforgettable moment when she saw a massive billboard featuring Lucky and his legendary mother, Vilma Santos.
"I saw a billboard of him and his mom in EDSA and I was like, 'Why are you with this woman in the billboard on EDSA when everyone is with their mom?' He’s like, 'Sos, that’s my mom!' I said, 'Ah, bakit iba yun mga apelyido niyo?'" Solenn laughingly said.
Despite her global upbringing, Solenn made it clear that her heart is fully Filipino.
"I'm Pinoy talaga, I just went to a French school... mas Pinay talaga ako," she concluded proudly.
