Rita Gaviola addressed a social media comment that accused her of abandoning her parents despite her success.

In a recent Facebook Reel, the content creator spoke candidly about the criticism she received after reading a remark claiming she was already living comfortably. At the same time, her parents were allegedly left behind. Rita firmly denied the accusation and explained that she has been helping improve her parents' home for years.

She quoted the comment and said, "Ang sabi daw sa comment, pinabayaan ko daw yung magulang ko. So ako daw maganda yung buhay ko pero yung magulang ko hindi."

The celebrity then showed parts of the house that were being renovated and stressed that the improvements would not have been possible if she had truly neglected her family.

"Kung pinabayaan ko po yung magulang ko, hindi po magiging ganito yung bahay nila," she said.

According to Rita, home renovations are expensive and cannot always be completed at once. She shared that she and her husband, Daddy Jeric, carefully planned and saved money before carrying out each stage of the project.

"Siyempre guys, nag-ipon lang kami ni Daddy Jeric kasi hindi namang biro magpagawa ng bahay. Dahil ang mahal po ng mga materyales," she explained.

During the video, Rita toured viewers around the property and pointed out several upgrades. She mentioned that the staircase had been repositioned, while additional improvements were still underway. She also revealed plans to replace certain areas with tiles instead of carpet.

The content creator added that the family's financial situation has gradually improved, allowing them to continue the renovation.

"Kahit pa paano, nakaluwag-luwag kami ni Daddy Jeric," she shared.

Rita also highlighted changes made to the roof and bathroom. She explained that the comfort room had been enlarged and upgraded to make it more practical for the family. Some adjustments were also made because of the home's location near the sea, where sand and water can easily affect the property.

Toward the end of the video, the social media personality asked viewers to understand why the house could not be renovated immediately. She noted that many followers may not have seen her previous updates documenting the gradual progress of the project.
