“Memorial day pa naman, death anniversary ng Mom ko si Fe , kaya di ko alam ano na nararamdaman ko sa birthday kong ito. Thanks for all the Love, patience and kindness, sweetie! Mahal kita ! Salamat, thank you sa lahat,” she added.
Rufa Mae also previously shared that she and her daughter Athena would be marking her first birthday as a widow in San Francisco, describing how their family traditions have changed after Trevor’s passing.
“We usually celebrate Mother’s Day, my Moms death anniversary, May 26, my birthday, May 28, and Father’s Day when we travel! Ok ang lahat , pinaka masaya na taon magkasama … Now , me and Athena will go back to our home in San Francisco without you( physically) … after everything! You will be in my heart forevermore! Go go go!” she wrote.
The actress also posted clips from Trevor’s memorial service held last year, which she initially said she was not ready to share publicly.
“I honor you like an honor student. Ito po yung Memorial / celebration of life ni Veteran Trevor Magallanes, my officer! Di ko na post ito last year kasi di ko pa kaya , now kailangan ko ng kayanin para sa anak natin,” she expressed.
She also thanked Trevor for the life they built together, including their daughter Athena and the home they created abroad.
Rufa Mae and Trevor were married in 2016 after meeting through FaceTime. In 2024, Trevor mentioned in a social media post that they were in the process of separation, although no divorce papers were finalized. He later passed away due to natural causes in July 2025.
Despite everything, Rufa Mae continues to honor his memory while navigating life as a mother and widow in the United States.
