Aljon Mendoza opened up about his emotional experience after being released from ABS-CBN following nearly eight years with the network.

During his interview with Boy Abunda, the actor admitted that the transition was not easy for him. He said he experienced a mix of fear and gratitude when the release finally became official.

“Madami. Madaming emotions dito, Boy. Hindi lang siya ano eh, may takot,” Aljon shared during the conversation.

The interview host then asked him what he was afraid of after leaving the company that had been his home for years.

“Siyempre, Tito Boy, almost 8 years ako sa ABS. Feeling ko, nasa home ako talaga na safe ako doon,” the actor explained.

He also admitted that uncertainty became one of his biggest concerns after parting ways with the network.

“And parang ngayon na aalis ako sa ABS, nakakatakot, Tito Boy. Kasi hindi ko alam kung anong possibilities pa,” he added.

According to Aljon, the possibility of leaving ABS-CBN was already discussed long before the official release happened. He revealed that he and his managers had already talked about requesting his release from the company last year.

“Actually last year pa po kasi napag-uusapan na namin yan. Ako at ng managers. Nag-request na po kung pwede ako magpa-release for some reasons,” he said.

However, the request did not immediately push through at that time. The actor eventually received his official release not too long ago.

Despite the emotional transition, Aljon made it clear that he remains thankful to ABS-CBN for helping shape his career in showbiz.

“Pero siyempre, nagpapasalamat ako, Tito Boy, lahat kong nagawa dahil sa ABS,” he said.

Boy Abunda also pointed out that the network gave the actor several important opportunities throughout his career. Aljon appeared emotional while reflecting on his years as a Kapamilya talent.

He made this revelation in the latest episode of “Boys After Dark,” where Markus was asked who was his TOTGA. The controversial actor then let out an expletive about the term and explained his answer on why he does not believe in it. Markus said that if he thinks his GF is already “the one,” then he would fight for her to the ends of his capability to keep the girl in his life.
