The confirmation came from veteran actress Charo Santos through a social media post on Monday, where she shared photos with Coco Martin and AKTOR chairman Dingdong Dantes. Santos revealed that Martin’s inclusion came after a private conversation months earlier.
"Some conversations happen quietly at home, yet carry a bigger purpose for the industry. ...We invited Coco to become part of @aktorph, and true to his heart for the craft, he said yes — not only as a member, but with a sincere desire to contribute more meaningfully to the acting community. With his influence, discipline, generosity, and work ethic, Coco is such a valuable addition to the organization, and I am truly proud to welcome him into AKTOR," Santos wrote.
She added, "Congratulations to Chairman Dingdong Dantes and the entire executive team for the many milestones you continue to achieve for Filipino actors and our industry. Exciting times ahead."

Dingdong Dantes thanked Santos in the comments, saying,
"Thank you so much, Ma’am, for making this happen."
Santos replied, "Thank you, Dong. I'm really happy it all came together!"
Actress Iza Calzado also praised Santos’ efforts, writing:
"Thank you so much Ma’am @charosantos for using your power and influence to protect and nurture our community!"
Santos responded, "Thank you, Iza. Just doing what I can for a community that has given all of us so much. We move forward together!"
The move is seen as a boost in unity among Filipino actors as key industry figures continue working together for the welfare of the entertainment community.
Coco Martin, born Rodel Pacheco Nacianceno, is a highly acclaimed Filipino actor, director, and producer widely recognized as the country's "Primetime King." After rising to fame in critically acclaimed independent films, he achieved mainstream superstardom through massive ABS-CBN television hits like FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, FPJ's Batang Quiapo, and the series Sigabo.
In another report, Coco Martin and Julia Montes recently shared photos of what appeared to be a simple, private date after work, showing them in a relaxed indoor dining setup. The posts quickly drew attention online amid renewed pregnancy rumors involving Julia, especially due to her reported absence from the upcoming series Sigabo. Their captions highlighted their casual time together, while the presence of beer in the photos became a talking point among fans. Neither of them directly addressed the speculation, though some saw the posts as a subtle way of responding to the issue.
Meanwhile, Coco Martin and Julia Montes also expressed support for ABS-CBN amid ongoing challenges. The couple said the network remains committed to serving Filipinos despite financial struggles. They emphasized hope and resilience, saying ABS-CBN will “rise again.” Several Kapamilya stars also voiced their solidarity with the network.
