In a series of Instagram stories, Yilmaz posted a heartfelt message addressed to the "respected mother" of his beautiful daughters. He credited Ruffa for the hard work she put into parenting over the last two decades.

"To the respected mother of my beautiful daughter, Sharmina Ruffa Gutierrez, who raised her with love, devotion, and great sacrifice to become the wonderful person she is today, I sincerely thank you for everything."

The post was a rare glimpse into the current dynamic between the former couple. Along with his message, Yilmaz included old photos, showing a younger Ruffa and their daughters when they were still babies.

He expressed that the gratitude he feels for her role in their family is something he will always hold onto.

"I sincerely thank you for everything and carry endless gratitude in my heart. Endless gratitude for everything you have given; every sacrifice you made, and every beautiful memory you left behind," he wrote online.

It is worth recalling that in 2007, the couple parted ways after four years of marriage. They eventually finalized their annulment in 2012, with Ruffa gaining custody of their kids, Lorin and Venice, back in the day.

Ruffa Gutierrez is a Filipina actress, model, TV host, and beauty queen. She is the eldest and only daughter of Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama. In 1993, she was crowned Binibining Pilipinas World and went on to win Second Runner-Up at the Miss World pageant held in South Africa. In her personal life, she has two daughters—Lorin and Venice—with her former husband, Yilmaz Bektas. Aside from her career in showbiz, she also pursued her education at Philippine Women’s University, where she earned a degree in Communication Arts in 2022. Her achievement became an inspiration to many women to continue pursuing their dreams.
