Miss World 2013 Megan Young recently offered a heartfelt look into her long-term relationship and marriage with actor Mikael Daez during a guest appearance on Bianca Gonzalez’s popular podcast, Paano Ba ‘To?!

The episode, which has since resonated with many listeners, touched on the evolution of their bond from "two young kids" to a well-loved celebrity couple who's long been admired for their healthy couple dynamics.

Megan shared that one of the greatest blessings of her life is having a partner who has been by her side through every phase of adulthood. "It’s not every day that you can say na I grew up with my partner, and I'm very lucky that I have that with Mikael," she told Bianca.

She recalled how she and Mikael were both uncertain about their futures when they first met, but they were able to discover their passions together, inspiring more netizens who have been following them since.

The actress credited Mikael for pushing her toward milestones she initially hesitated to pursue, such as pageantry. "He would constantly push me na, 'Why don't you try the things that you love?' or 'why don't you try out pageantry because you always talk about it. Look into it. Get the best people that can train you. And go for it,'" she confessed during the podcast session.

A major key to their successful 15-year journey is the "grace" they give each other to flourish individually. Megan emphasized that they never let their relationship become a cage or to hinder one another.

"It’s not going to work if we pull each other behind, like, hindi pwedeng hilahin kita pababa. If there's an opportunity, kahit na kailangang mo akong iwan sa Pilipinas, do it," she said.

For Megan, the commitment they share is built on mutual support and a deep respect for each other's career.

"We gave each other so much grace to grow individually," she added, noting that their routine of meeting up after a long day of independent work is what keeps their connection fresh.

This marks their first trip to the City of Pines with their son, Leon, and their fur babies as well. Mikael mentioned that while they wanted to go on hikes, they’ve decided to keep things relaxed for now since they have Leon with them for the meantime.
