Actress and internet personality Bea Borres opened up about being a single mother in an interview with Karen Davila, sharing her emotional struggles after the breakdown of her relationship with her child’s father.

She said the father of her daughter still provides financial support, but the emotional effects of their separation remain heavy for her. Bea admitted she had strong expectations during their relationship after becoming a mother.
“I expected too much, like sobra talaga akong nag-expect sa kanya–– dapat ganito ka, dapat ganyan ka. I would list down the notes of what I wanted from him, parang nag-demand ako at nag-expect ako kasi nabuntis ako. Alagaan mo ako, nanay ako ng anak mo,” she shared.
Her daughter, Victoria Hope, stayed in the NICU after birth, adding to her early motherhood challenges.

Bea said she has moved on from the relationship but not from the pain.
“I’m not over with what he did, but I’m over him. Siguro sa stages of grief, I’m already nasa depression stage kasi hindi ko na siya tinext eh… Like tinetext ko talaga siya, nagkalat ako minura ko talaga siya, I’m not gonna lie. Sinasabi ko talaga na I can’t believe this happened to me, ginawa mo 'to sa akin, I’m calling him all these mean words,” she recalled.
She also expressed sadness over not having a complete family for her child.
“I’m really sad about na hindi ko mabibigyan ng complete family yung anak ko. Na hindi man lang nabigyan ng chance, but at the same time, I’ve been talking to my single mom friends, mas okay na daw to kaysa makita mo yung parents na nag-aaway,” she confessed.
Now focused on motherhood, Bea said she wants to teach her daughter self-love and standards in love.
“I will love myself and I will make sure my daughter sees that I love myself so much so that she can also love herself and she will have standards of what love is supposed to be,” she ended.
