Chariz Solomon is using her platform to raise awareness after nearly losing a significant amount of money to cybercriminals. In an urgent Instagram post, the Bubble Gang mainstay detailed how a moment of distraction led her to click a dangerous link.

The incident occurred while Chariz was attending an event. Amidst the busy schedule, she received a text message that appeared to be from BPI, alerting her of a transaction. Panicked and wanting to secure her account, she clicked the provided link.
"NEVER in my life ko naisip na mabibiktima ako ng PHISHING," Chariz admitted in her post.
She explained that the link led to a fake website that asked for her username and password. After several failed login attempts, she realized something was wrong and quickly checked her legitimate BPI app.

"Buti nandun sister ko at na-chika ko agad-agad," she shared, noting that her sister advised her to immediately lock her mobile banking access.
Chariz confirmed that no money was stolen because she acted fast to secure her accounts at an ATM. She also emphasized that these scammers are clever, often hiding their fake messages within legitimate texts.
"Dapat alam natin ang mga gagawin sa pagkakataon na magkamali tayo," she reminded.
The actress expressed her gratitude to the bank for their assistance and to God for her quick-thinking sister.
She ended her post with a warning to the public: "Wag na talaga pansinin ang mga links na yan. Wag na sumagot ng mga unknown callers." By sharing her story, Chariz hopes to prevent others from falling into the same trap set by those who want to take advantage of others.
