Authorities earlier confirmed that Hev Abi, along with six others, was apprehended on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The arrest took place after law enforcement authorities served a warrant related to firearms. Police Major Helen Dela Cruz, Public Information Officer of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), verified the operation in a phone interview.
Amid the circulating reports, Urban Department released an official statement addressing the issue and defending their artist.
"On behalf of Hev Abi, we categorically deny any and all allegations pertaining to his misunderstanding that lead to his situation last April 14, 2026," the label stated.

The group emphasized that the claims linking Hev Abi to illegal dr*gs and loose firearms are not true, countering earlier reports tied to the arrest. The statement also clarified that steps are already being taken to resolve the matter through proper legal channels.
