“Pero I’ve also learned to set it aside and have something for my own para I have my own identity as well,” he explained.

Arkin, who performs under the name Barq, shared that public expectations have evolved into a source of pride.

“Personally, I treat it now na parang it’s not a pressure na set by the people,” Arkin said.

He noted that recognition as their father’s sons reflects respect for Kiko’s legacy and motivates him to introduce his music to younger audiences.

Despite their upbringing, Elmo revealed that their father never imposed strict guidance.

“Hindi talaga siya yung type na parang stage dad,” Elmo said.

Instead, their interest in music developed naturally through curiosity and shared influences.

The brothers emphasized that while their styles differ, their foundation remains rooted in their father’s artistry. During the interview, Elmo performed his unreleased track “Bangon,” while Arkin showcased “Tumatak,” signaling their evolving musical directions.
