Popular radio personality DJ Chacha recently took to social media to issue a daring challenge to the country's elected officials. Amidst rising fuel prices and economic hardships, she proposed that public servants should consider a "no salary" period to directly assist the citizens they serve.

"Pwede ba nating no salary muna sa mga halal ng bayan for two or three weeks for the meantime habang naghihirap yung ating mga tao," she wrote in her viral post. Chacha argued that this would be a more effective way to help motorists and the general public than simply ignoring traffic or legal violations, which she believes sends the wrong message to society.
She didn't hold back in addressing the financial status of many leaders, noting that a short period without pay shouldn't affect them significantly.
"After all... karamihan naman sa inyo mayayaman na. Hindi naman siguro kayo magugutom kung dalawang linggo walang sahod," she pointed out. For her, the "challenge" is a simple question of commitment: "PUBLIC SERVICE WITHOUT SALARY, KAYA PO BA?"
