Tom Rodriguez is thrilled to be part of the upcoming Kapuso political thriller series Whispers From Heaven, where he will star alongside Bea Alonzo, Maricar Reyes, Jason Abalos, Jake Macapagal, and Cassy Legaspi.

The actor admitted that landing the role feels like winning the lottery, calling it a huge blessing in his career.

The Kapuso star recently came from portraying a heavy role as Gargan in Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre. Despite the demanding character, another opportunity quickly came his way, proving how in-demand he remains in the industry.

In an exclusive interview with GMA Network, he expressed his feelings about it. “Super happy, super grateful. Grabe, it’s a big blessing, especially hindi lang the kind of story that it is… the production I’ve worked with before, sobrang saya nilang katrabaho. So the material, the cast, I can’t believe I’m part of this. Grabe, naka-jackpot yata ako sa Lotto,” he said with a smile.

When asked why he accepted the role, the Kapuso celebrity explained that it was impossible to say no. “Bakit hindi ang tanong? Bakit hindi ko siya tatanggapin? Parang may deperensya siguro ako kung tanggihan ko ang ganitong klaseng project… Bea Alonzo, Maricar Reyes, si Direk Zig Dulay, ang kanilang materyal. Who am I to say no?” he added.

Tom also highlighted how honored he feels to be chosen by the production team. He expressed his appreciation for the writers, creatives, and director Zig Dulay, saying he is simply glad to be part of the show. For him, the collaboration itself is already a big reward.
