During the media conference for his upcoming series The Silent Noise, Marudo was approached by reporters from ABS-CBN News and asked for his thoughts about his ex-girlfriend’s upcoming milestone.

The actor initially appeared caught off guard by the question during the ambush interview. He responded candidly when he first heard the news.
“Totoo ba?”
Marudo then joked about the situation when asked if he would be attending the wedding.
"Wala akong imbitasyon eh."
After the playful remark, the actor expressed sincere support for Alonzo and her future.
"Yes, of course, I’m very happy for her. Finally, 'di ba! Lahat tayo kailangang maging masaya sa mga batch namin. At least ito, unti-unti na kaming nabubuo."
Marudo and Alonzo were previously in a relationship in the early 2010s. Their romance lasted for about five years before the pair eventually went their separate ways in 2016.
Despite their past, Marudo’s response showed goodwill toward his former partner as she prepares to enter a new chapter in her life.
