"One of my favorite subjects in law school is Gender Sensitivity and Laws on Women and Children's Rights, and I also submitted my reaction paper on the Supreme Court's Legal Feminism in Philippine Gender Jurisprudence today," says Kurdi.

"Legal feminism in Philippine jurisprudence reflects the lived realities of Filipinas, our struggles through the years, the voices that were once silenced, and our continuing fight for dignity and equality," says Kurdi.
The actress also emphasized that several Philippine laws are in place to safeguard the rights and welfare of women. She cited policies such as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, the Magna Carta of Women, the Safe Spaces Act, and the Anti-S*xual Harassment Act.
"Philippine laws recognize and protect women's rights through measures such as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (RA 9262), the Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710), the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313 or Bawal Bastos Law), the Anti-S*xual Harassment Act (RA 7877), among others," says Kurdi.
She also encouraged women to continue standing up for themselves and their rights.
"Women, please do continue to challenge systems," says Kurdi.
Kurdi concluded her message with a bold declaration celebrating womanhood.
"BABAE AKO! Bakit? May problema ba?" says Kurdi.
Beyond acting, Kurdi continues to pursue other passions including law studies, culinary arts, and writing projects.
Yasmien Kurdi is a Filipina actress who first gained national attention as a finalist in StarStruck, the reality-based talent search of GMA Network. She later became one of the network’s leading actresses, starring in several television dramas and taking on diverse roles that showcased her acting range. Beyond show business, Kurdi has also pursued academic goals, including studying law, while balancing her life as a wife and mother. She often shares glimpses of her family life online with her husband, pilot Reymart Gaballo, and their children.
Meanwhile, Kurdi shared a minor accident she experienced at home. On February 4, she revealed through her Instagram Stories that she had fallen down the stairs, which left her dealing with body pain and a cracked laptop screen. The actress posted photos showing the damaged device before and after it was repaired. She explained that the incident had been stressful because the laptop is an important tool for completing her school assignments and academic requirements. Despite the inconvenience, Kurdi expressed gratitude to the person who helped fix the device so she could continue working on her studies.
In another report, the actress also recently shared a proud parenting moment involving her eldest daughter, Ayesha Gaballo. Kurdi revealed that Ayesha served as a student speaker during the open house event of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School. During the event, Ayesha described her new school as a place where she found growth and guidance while continuing to heal from past trauma. Kurdi described the speech as the best gift she could receive as a mother, praising her daughter’s courage after a challenging year. The milestone came after Ayesha transferred schools following a widely discussed bullying incident in late 2024.
