Comedian Tekla opened up about the challenges he faced in his past relationship with former live-in partner Michelle Lhor Bana-ag, but said that their current relationship is stable.

During their guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Tekla was asked about the most painful experience in his love life.

“Pinakamasakit ‘yung, siyempre alam naman ng tao ‘yon, na parang pinagkanulo ka. Pero naka-move on na ako. Nakaraan na ‘yon. Pero, still, the trauma is here,” he admitted.

He also addressed their present relationship, particularly as co-parents to their children.

“Kasi may kids kami eh, so andon pa rin ‘yung ano… pero hindi kami nagsasama. Sumeparate (separate) na sila para makapagtrabaho ako nang maayos,” Tekla explained. He added, “Yes, we’re OK.”

Co-host and friend Boobay offered Tekla words of encouragement, praising his commitment as a father.

“Ituloy mo lang ‘yan. Kasi nakita ko kung gaano siya kagaling na tatay. As much as possible, every taping namin, kinakausap niya ‘yung anak niya,” Boobay shared.

Tekla has previously faced allegations of abuse from Michelle, which he denied.

The two comedians currently host The Boobay and Tekla Show together. They are set to launch a new segment, “TBATS on the Go,” on March 1.

Despite the challenges of their past, Tekla emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship for the sake of their children while continuing his work in showbiz.
