Speaking on his program on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the "King of Talk" expressed immense optimism about the possibility of collaborating once again with the "Queen of All Media."
Boy recently spent time with Kris during her 55th birthday celebration on Valentine’s Day. He described the intimate gathering at her Makati residence as a joyous occasion, noting that Kris appeared to be in higher spirits and had gained some healthy weight.
"Last February 14 in the afternoon, binisita ko ang aking kaibigang si Kris Aquino who celebrated her birthday. We had a nice chat; kumain kami. She’s getting better. At sana, tuluy-tuloy," Boy shared with his audience, highlighting his relief at seeing her recovery from multiple autoimmune conditions.

The bond between the two hosts has spanned over three decades, outlasting many of their individual projects.
Boy noted that their shared history in the industry creates a unique dynamic that he is eager to bring back to the public, whether through traditional television or modern digital platforms.
While no official contracts have been signed, Boy is already looking forward to what their next joint venture might look like.
He mentioned that the format—be it a television talk show, a podcast, or an online series—is less important than the opportunity to work alongside Kris again.
"Kung bibilangin talaga, mas matanda pa ang aming television careers ni Kris kaysa kay Josh Aquino. We’ve been doing this for 30 years. And really I don’t know, there is this thing in me that’s looking forward to doing a talk show with her. I don’t know if it’s going to be in the form of a podcast, an online thing or a television thing but hindi ko [pa] alam," he remarked.
The duo's previous collaborations, such as The Buzz, Boy & Kris, and Aquino & Abunda Tonight, set a gold standard for entertainment reporting in the Philippines.
Their signature "straight-to-the-point" interviewing style remains a favorite among viewers who miss their on-screen chemistry.
Kris, who has dubbed 2026 her "rainbow year" to symbolize hope and healing, recently shared her own goals of reaching her 60s and eventually her late 60s.
For Boy, seeing his "other sister" regain her strength is the first step toward a much-anticipated media comeback.
As the industry evolves, the potential return of this iconic pair promises to be a major highlight for the local entertainment landscape.
Kris Aquino is a cornerstone of Philippine pop culture, famously titled the "Queen of All Media" for her mastery of hosting and production. As the daughter of national icons Ninoy and Cory Aquino, she became a unique link between the nation’s political history and its entertainment industry. Beyond her blockbuster horror hits like Feng Shui, her 2018 turn in Crazy Rich Asians solidified her status as a globally recognized Filipino talent.
It can be recalled that on February 14, Kris marked her 55th birthday with an intimate gathering at her Makati home, highlighted by a symbolic rainbow-colored theme. Iconic broadcaster Boy Abunda attended the private event, reaffirming his lifelong commitment to Kris as she navigates her complex health journey. The "Queen of All Media" revealed plans to launch a video podcast, expressing her eagerness to conduct interviews again as a gift to her audience. Buoyed by the support of her followers, Kris has updated her personal milestone target to age 68, citing a renewed sense of hope and resilience.
For her 55th birthday, Kris shared the encouraging news that she has regained the ability to walk without assistance after months of treatment. The veteran host noted that she now rarely depends on her wheelchair, marking a major turning point in her battle against multiple autoimmune conditions. Adhering to strict medical advice, Kris swapped traditional floral gifts for bright balloons to decorate her "rainbow year" sanctuary. Amidst her ongoing recuperation, Kris lightheartedly shared her new ambition to live until 68 to eventually qualify for both senior citizen and PWD benefits.
