Heart, who attended the event alongside her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero, admitted she was emotionally distressed because her beloved pet dogs, Panda and Pochi, were hospitalized.
After sharing photos from the SONA on Instagram the following day, netizens quickly noticed her somber expression.
One Instagram user, @ladyfrance, remarked, “Parang ang lungkot ng mata. I don’t know if makeup lang \[but] eyes don’t lie.”

Heart responded candidly to the comment, saying, “I felt very sad this day. My Panda and Pochi are in the hospital.”
She further added, “They still are but hopefully they will be able to come home in a week or so.”
