In a candid interview on the talk show "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" this past Friday, Alcantara revealed that her primary motivation was rooted in a deep sense of respect for her former partner, despite the challenges that unfolded.

During the interview, the multi-talented actress articulated her choice, stating, "Kaya hindi po ako nagsalita, kasi I still have respect for him as a person despite everything that happened.."
She further emphasized a personal philosophy of grace, adding, "And sa lahat naman po ng mga tao na nasaktan ako, I will always show them grace."

This mature stance on handling a public split resonated with many, offering insight into her approach to navigating personal difficulties under the intense scrutiny of the entertainment industry.

Alcantara characterized her time with Paras as a significant chapter, describing it as a "beautiful experience."

She openly shared, "It was a beautiful experience. I felt really happy. I felt really loved." However, she acknowledged that fundamental differences between them ultimately led to their parting.
"It's just that we're two different people. And that's okay. And that is okay. I've learned a lot of lessons in that relationship," she asserted, signaling a mature acceptance of their divergent paths.

She stressed the invaluable lessons gained from the relationship, vowing to "And I will always treasure every experience or achievements po na nagawa namin dalawa."
The young star also confirmed that any initial feelings of bitterness have long since faded. "I'm not going to lie, at first there's bitterness. But ngayon po, wala na." Alcantara admitted, attributing this shift to her understanding that "Kasi, again, you cannot be bothered by the things that you cannot control."

This pragmatic outlook has seemingly allowed her to move forward from the emotional aftermath of the separation.

Among the pivotal takeaways from her past relationship, Alcantara highlighted the importance of "Knowing your boundaries and having self-respect. Siguro 'yun po 'yung dalawang importante na natutunan po sa relationship na 'yun."
These, she noted, were critical learnings that have shaped her perspective moving forward. When asked if she had fully moved on from the breakup, her response was unequivocal: "Kailangan po natin mag-move forward sa buhay."

Alcantara offered a profound perspective on heartbreak itself, describing it not merely as pain but as an "echo of love."

She elaborated, "I believe that all heartbreaks or breakups are painful because you will experience grief. And grief hurts. It hurts so much. But for me, it's an echo of love. We will mourn something or someone that once made our hearts full."
For her, the act of grieving signifies that a relationship held significant value: "Yun po 'yung masakit. And to grieve is to know that you've had something worth losing. And with that, just that, it is beautiful."

She termed this experience "privileged grief," explaining that it signifies the profound joy and vulnerability of having allowed oneself to genuinely love and be happy with another person.

Concluding her candid discussion, Alcantara shared a universal message about the transformative power of affection: "Loving is a privilege. Loving is a great feeling, Tito Boy. And I hope everyone will feel that. That pure and genuine happiness."

Her reflections offer a nuanced understanding of celebrity relationships, emphasizing personal growth and emotional resilience in the face of public interest.
