Bianca Gonzalez took to Twitter to defend "Kuya" of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) amid backlash over the punishment given to housemate Shuvee.

The controversy stemmed from a scene where Shuvee was made to stay under the sun, a move that several netizens criticized heavily, with some even calling it "inhumane."

In response, Bianca, a long-time PBB host, stressed that the production prioritizes the safety and health of all housemates.

She reminded fans that while their concern is appreciated, baseless accusations against the show's treatment of its participants are unfair.

"We appreciate it very much that fans are protective of the housemates. But to accuse Big Brother and the show about housemate safety is something I won't let pass. For everyone's information, kahit ubo't sipon palang, pinapa-check na sa doctor/nurse ang housemates," she tweeted.

Bianca also addressed the manner in which some netizens aired their grievances online.

She called for more respectful discourse instead of immediately resorting to harsh words against the show’s management.

"Nagmamagaling? Are you sure na yan ang 'utos' ni Kuya, narinig mo mismo na sinabi ni Kuya na kailangan nasa ilalim ng araw? kailangan murahin si Kuya? Pwede niyo naman piliin na mag-post ng may respeto pa rin, bakit kailangan pabalang/magmura agad?" she added.

As of now, PBB has not released an official statement regarding the matter, but Bianca’s defense highlights the measures taken behind the scenes to safeguard the housemates' well-being.

Bianca Gonzalez is a TV host and a UNICEF supporter. She married basketball player, JC Intal, on December 4, 2014, in El Nido, Palawan. They have two daughters. She has been one of the main hosts of Pinoy Big Brother. She has been the one hosting alongside Melai Cantiveros and also actor Enchong Dee.

The actress said that she actually told Iza how beautiful she was after the play. She also noted how she felt privileged to have witnessed the play. "Iz, for me, you are most beautiful when you are at your most vulnerable," Bianca said.
