The movement, which has gained traction among Duterte’s supporters, aims to pressure the government by temporarily stopping financial support from abroad.

In a statement, Diaz acknowledged the campaign but questioned the practicality of such a drastic measure.

“If you can bear not sending money to your families who depend on you, then go ahead,” Diaz remarked, emphasizing the potential consequences of the protest.

Additionally, he noted that singer Jimmy Bondoc has joined the movement by urging people not to bet on the lottery starting March 28, in solidarity with the protest.

Diaz responded with a hint of sarcasm, saying that if people are willing to forgo their usual lottery bets, they should also consider refraining from spreading fake news, using fake accounts, and engaging in corruption.

Here is his full message:

"Nabasa ko ang Panawaga: Zero remittance this week daw ang mga OFWs. Pati si Jimmy Bondoc, nananawagan a alang tataya sa lotto starting March 28 hangga't hindi pinapauwi si Tatay Digong.
