Toni Gonzaga, a Filipina actress, just penned an honest but heartfelt birthday greeting for her sister, Alex, on her Instagram.

On Thursday, January 16, Toni took to the photo-sharing app to share several wonderful photos she had taken with her sister.

In the photos she posted online, netizens were given a glimpse of Toni's close and growing bond with her youngest sister, Alex.

However, what also touched the hearts of netizens was Toni briefly apologizing to Alex for being strict to the latter growing up.

"Happiest birthday, @cathygonzaga! Pasensya kana kung strict ako sayo when we were growing up. Ikaw ang first hand experience ko what it’s like maging mommy. Thank you for being everything I am not. Ang saya ng childhood natin dahil sa mga kalokohan and kakulitan mo and even to this day you bring so much life every time you walk in the room. Even if may pinagdadaanan ka, nagagawa mo parin ako pasayahin," Toni began in her heartfelt post.

She then thanked Alex for being her best friend and 'teacher at times' in this lifetime.

"Thank you for being my best friend, my teacher at times, my enemy when needed and my defender always. I know this will be your best year because you have been nothing but the best to me pag meron ako pinagdadaanan.. Thank you for loving my kids like your own… I know one day, in God’s time, pag ikaw naman, your kids will have the most fun life because of their mommy!! You are a blessing to me and our family! I love you and I will always always be here for you and Mikee! See you later!" she wrote on her official account on Instagram.
