Darryl Yap has called on everyone concerned not to spread false news ahead of the ruling of the court.
It can be recalled that earlier, aside from filing 19 counts of cyberlibel against Direk Darryl, “Eat Bulaga!” TV host, Vic Sotto, also filed a petition for a Writ of Habeas Data.
The said writ is can be filed by anyone who believe that his “right to privacy in life, liberty or security is violated or threatened by an unlawful act.”
Bossing Vic filed these court actions after his name was mentioned in a teaser for Direk Darryl’s new movie about Pepsi Paloma.

The court then ordered the director to file with the court his answer within five days upon receipt of the order.
However, there was no order coming from the court saying that Direk Darryl should take down the teaser trailer in question.
“Huwag po nating pangunahan ang Korte,” the director said in his post.
He also said that he and his party, and that of the petitioner, would still face each other in court to examine the teaser and materials in question.
“Kami po ay magkakaroon pa ng paghaharap at susuriin pa po ang mga materyal at mismong teaser,” the director said.
“Sa ngayon po ay wala pang ganyang order— Maraming Salamat,” Direk Darryl concluded.

The post was originally made by News5, which Direk Darryl then reposted along with the caption “Pepsi goes back to court.” It can be recalled that Bossing Vic filed 19 counts of cyberlibel against Direk Darryl for the mention of his name in a teaser trailer of the director’s new movie about Pepsi Paloma. The Muntinlupa RTC has also ordered the director to answer within five days the “Eat Bulaga!” host’s petition for Write of Habeas Data.
He also recentlytook to Facebook and underscored that the trailer of his Pepsi Paloma movie was very clear. He also said that the caption was clear as well. In the same post, he also asked the legal counsel of Vic Sotto about the title of the movie. "Sino bang nagsabi na ang tinutukoy ng title ng pelikula kong #TROPP #TROPP2025 ay ang kliyente mo?" the controversial director asked.
