Gary Valenciano had to cut short his "Pure Energy" concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum due to health issues.

His wife, Angeli gave update on his health condition, saying that he ingested something and actually vomited so many times.

She also shared that doctors were there and that Gary was already okay, just dehydrated.

Mr. Pure Energy's wife also explained some of the complications brought about by Type 1 diabetes.

“He ingested something and vomited so many times in the last two hours. He wasn’t sure he could do this concert. The doctors were backstage and he had an IV … and he said he wants to do it! But he has since sang six songs.. changing the repertoire … please continue to pray,”

"Don’t worry guys. Gary is ok… just dehydrated. He vomited about 8 times today. But am here with him and he’s just weak. A Type 1 diabetic goes through serious medical issues and we couldn’t afford what we call diabetic ketoacidosis so we are making sure he balances everything in a while. To the fans… thank you ! God is good. We love you all …"

Gary V has denied rumors in an interview with Ogie Diaz that he would be retiring from showbiz and then made clarifications on the title of his show, which he indicated could be his last major concert in a big venue. According to Mr. Pure Energy, he would continue to perform as long as his heart continue to beat.

Another big name in the music industry has also expressed his admiration for Gary V, whom he said has been his inspiration all along. Ogie Alcasid, in a previous social media post, said Mr. Pure Energy's life has been his inspiration. Both singer-songwriters were former members of the famous “Kundirana,” a music ministry group from La Salle Green Hills. According to Ogie, he’s been following the career and music of Gary V, his former mentor at Kundirana. He also proudly declared that he and Gary V have become brothers for life.
