Liam Payne's sister, Ruth Gibbins, just broke the hearts of many netizens with her open letter to the late singer on her Instagram page.
On October 19, Saturday, Ruth penned a heartwrenching note about Liam and how he was as a brother, detailing their close relationship.
According to Ruth, she cannot believe all of this is happening, referring to the late singer's sad and sudden passing after falling from a hotel.
"I don't believe this is happening. Many times have I poured my heart out publicly with pride about Liam but never much about life as his sister. Liam is my best friend, no one could ever make me laugh as much as him, doing his impressions always has me creasing and he loved seeing how much of a laugh he could get," she wrote.

Halfway through her post, Ruth said all she wanted was to just drive down to her brother's home.
"Liam, my brain is struggling to catch up with what's happening and I don't understand where you've gone. I just want to drive to your house and walk into music blasting and find you sat there writing a song or walk in to your art phases and sit with you whilst you draw or craft," she said.
By the end of her letter, Ruth briefly apologized to her brother for not being able to save him.
"I'm sorry I couldn't save you. Love you, oh how my heart misses you. One last time, I need you to know, I'm here if you need anything. I'd drive to the end of the universe to bring you back," she wrote.
Born in 1993, Liam Payne gained fame as part of the boy band One Direction. He first auditioned for The X Factor in 2008 and rejoined in 2010, forming the successful group. After the band's hiatus in 2015, Payne started a solo career, releasing hit singles like "Strip That Down." His solo album LP1 came out in 2019, and he saw major success as a solo artist. Payne passed away in 2024 after a fall from a hotel in Buenos Aires.
As previously reported by KAMI, Cheryl Cole, mother of Liam Payne's son, shared the heartbreaking news about the late One Direction singer. On her Instagram, Cheryl published a photo of Liam with their son, Bear, who is now seven years old. Along with the photo, the former 'X Factor' judge shared a statement in which she penned a kind reminder to the public.
