Cat Arambulo, a Filipina socialite, has apologized to the public for her 'insensitivity' regarding the flooding that Super Typhoon Carina had caused.

Previously, in a since-deleted video, Cat was heard talking about the flood and if her children could 'wakeboard' in it, triggering many netizens.

Following this news, Cat issued an official statement on her Instagram page and apologized for her actions and 'insensitivity' about the matter.

According to Cat, she hears the opinions of netizens and plan to use what happened as a learning opportunity for myself and to teach her kids about it.

In her post, Cat also revealed she has been focusing her efforts on providing relief to different communities that were affected by the super typhoon.

"I deeply apologize for my insensitivity and my actions, especially during a time of crisis. I hear you and I will use this as a learning opportunity for myself and to teach my kids to be more socially aware and active. I am now focusing my efforts on providing relief to different communities. My prayers go out to everyone affected," she wrote.

News, photos, or videos that arouse the interest of netizens often go viral on social media. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people.

As previously reported by KAMI back in 2020, Cat Arambulo streamed her invectives against arrested-commuters live on social media. She cursed at them and told them to stay at home, emphasizing that they're the reason why there is military presence on the ground. The social media influencer apologized, saying she was referring to people who are "pasaway and not following." Celebs gave their reactions and didn't buy her apology.

Meanwhile, the during and after photos of Brgy. Marilao in Bulacan has trended. The haunting photos showed how floodwaters brought about by Carina caused damage. One can see that the waters reached the roofs of the houses, with some even covering a large portion of the roofs. When the waters subsided, everything became muddy, and with so many things to restore again in their proper order.
