Jodi Sta. Maria, in a recent post on her Instagram account, highlighted the importance of getting ready for the assumption of any role, whether in a movie or TV series, that may come her way.

In her post, she said that no one would be ready to take on a role if he or she wasn’t able to prepare for it.

“No one will ever be ready to tackle any role without preparation,” Jodi said.

The actress also said that part of such preparation could include learning new skills, as well as embracing unfamiliar feelings.

She then made it clear that for her, such a preparation might even entail going into uncharted territories.

“We learn new skills, embrace unfamiliar feelings, and maybe, move to uncharted territories to deliver what is expected of an actor,” she added.

Jodi made it clear that she would go to such lengths in order for her to be able to deliver what is expected of her as an actress.

“We persist. We achieve!” Jodi concluded at the end of her post.

In another previous post, the actress expressed her excitement about her new project, “Lavender Fields.” She then revealed the reason why she loves her job, and that every role, character, and performance she does is different from the last one that she did.
