Vice Ganda was interviewed by ABS-CBN about the viral "Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas" trend.
She explained how she came up with the concept and the message that she was trying to deliver.
"Siyempre una, hindi kasi pwede, kilala niyo naman ako, hindi naman pwedeng puchu-puchu, hindi rin naman pwedeng manggaya lang ng ano...Ayoko namang basta sumakay lang dun sa trend. I thought of making use of the trend for a very special purpose. So yung ganun, yung contrast siya."
"Yung Pilipinas kasi hindi naman siya puro maganda di ba, meron din naman siyang, ang realidad ay meron ding di magandang sitwasyon. Meron ding magandang bahagi ang Pilipinas. Pero anuman yun, di ba. Pipiliin mo pa rin siya at ipaglalaban ang Pilipinas. Bukod sa ipinagmamalaki natin ang magagandang aspeto ng Pilipinas, dapat, gising at aware din tayo sa katotohanan sa hindi magandang nangyayari sa paligid natin. Hindi pwedeng yung maganda lang ang alam natin. Maganda rin yung hindi magagandang bahagi."

Vice Ganda is a famous comedian, actor, endorser, and host in the Philippines. He is best known for hosting “It’s Showtime” and for his commercially successful movies in the MMFF. The superstar is currently in a relationship with Ion Perez. He and Ion got their Certificate of Commitment in a special ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada on Oct. 19, 2021.
Recently in her vlog, Vice advised her "anak-anakan" Awra Briguela about forgiving herself after committing some mistakes. Vice made an example of himself when he also committed a mistake years ago about a joke she made about Jessica Soho in one of her concerts.
On the part of Awra, she remorsefully made admissions about the controversy she got involved in a couple of months ago. After getting involved in a skirmish in Poblacion, Makati, Vice Ganda did not abandon Awra. Vice said that for almost a year, she did not allow Awra to go out of the house and during that time, she also stopped drinking excessively.
