The former actress and beauty queen then received a heartfelt greeting from her son, Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto.
On his Instagram page, Gian shared a couple of photos showing heartwarming moments of him with his mom.
In his lengthy caption, Gian wished Helen a blessed birthday and reiterated how much he loves her.

“A blessed happy birthday… (tulad ng lagi ko sinasabi nung bata ako) to the most Bestest, most Beautifullest Queen of Philippine Cinema, most Beautiful Dancing Queen in the whole wide world, my mom, Helen Gamboa Sotto! I love you so much po, Ma!” he sweetly expressed.
He went on to write his earnest prayers for his beloved mother.
“May GOD always bless you with good health, long life, and may He always make His face shine upon you as you continue to shine for His Glory! From your one and only son of a gun ~ Heleno Gi,” Gian endearingly penned.
Tito Sotto, whose full name is Vicente Sotto III, is a former Senate President in the Philippines. He rose to fame as a co-host of “Eat Bulaga,” along with his brother Vic Sotto and comedian Joey de Leon. His wife is actress Helen Gamboa and they have four children: Romina, Diorella Maria, Gian Carlo and Ciara.
Sharon Cuneta, in a recent post on social media, shared a couple of pics from the birthday “salubong” of her Mama Helen Gamboa. Based on the Megastar’s post, the birthday “salubong” was held in the city of Baguio. Seen on the photos that Shawie shared were former Senator Tito Sotto and several members of the Sotto family. It wasn’t clear who among Sharon’s family members attended the birthday “salubong,” though one can see Miel Pangilinan in one of the photos.
