Actress Andi Eigenmann recently took to Instagram to share touching snapshots of her spending quality time with her half-brother, Gwen Guck. The siblings, who share the same mother, Jaclyn Jose, tragically lost her on March 2nd at the age of 60.

Andi, daughter of the late actor Mark Gil, and Gwen, whose father is Kenneth Ilagan, guitarist of The Dawn band, have found solace in each other's company during this difficult time.

Gwen, who resides in the US for his studies, returned to the Philippines after the passing of their mother. Gwen found comfort in the island life in Siargao, where Andi resides with her adorable children. In the shared photos, Gwen can be seen enjoying precious moments with his sister and her family against the picturesque backdrop of the island.

Accompanying the heartfelt images, Andi penned a poignant message, reflecting on their unexpected reunion and the absence of their beloved mother.

Andi wrote: “An introduction to the island life for my (not so) little brother. It did not happen in the circumstance we had hoped for, but I'm glad to finally do this nonetheless. Nanay never made it, but I would like to believe she lovingly watched over us from her paradise. After all, all I can do now is to believe.

“Life is uncertain. Look after your people. Hug them. Love them. Cherish them. Hold your loved ones close.”

Mary Jane Santa Ana Guck, also known by her stage name Jaclyn Jose, was a Filipino cinema and TV actress who earned international critical acclaim. Jaclyn won the Best Actress award for the film “Ma' Rosa” at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. She was also known for her roles in the films "Private Show", "White Slavery", and "Santa Juana". Jaclyn is the mother of another famous actress, Andi Eigenmann.
