Jennylyn has a son named Alex Jazz with Patrick Garcia, and Dennis has a son named Calix with his former girlfriend Carlene Aguilar. Dennis and Jennylyn tied the knot in November 2021 and welcomed their daughter Dylan in 2022.

Jennylyn Mercado opened up about the dynamics within their family, emphasizing the deep understanding they share. "Mas naiintindihan namin 'yung isa't isa," she revealed, highlighting their ability to handle various situations stemming from their unique family structure. Having experienced their respective journeys, Jennylyn and Dennis possess a profound empathy that forms the bedrock of their relationship.

“Alam na namin kung paanong i-ha-handle ‘yung mga ganung klaseng sitwasyon… Alam namin ‘yung pinagdaanan niya, alam niya rin ‘yung pinagdaanan ko,” Jennylyn explained.

Dennis Trillo echoed Jennylyn's sentiments, underscoring the importance of being equipped to navigate the challenges they face as a blended family.

“Yung sitwasyon namin noon, ay kumbaga equipped na kami kung ano ‘yung mga kailangan namin, at para mas maging maganda ‘yung relasyon namin at smooth ‘yung pagsasama,” Dennis explained.

Jennylyn also revealed that she and Dennis’ ex-partner Carlene are friends.


“Nagkakausap kami ganyan, nagkaka-message kami. Pag may mga bagay na kailangan niyang ibilin ‘pag nasa amin si Calix, or ako rin kapag kailangan ni Calix ng something. Or may mga bilin ako na kailangan uminom ng vitamins, 'yung mga ganun, binibilin ko kay Carlene,“ Jennylyn stated.

Jennylyn Mercado is an actress, singer, songwriter, host, and commercial model from the Philippines. She entered show business when she participated in GMA Network's reality talent competition, StarStruck, and subsequently won. She is now married to her fellow Kapuso star, Dennis Trillo, a Pinoy actor, recording artist, and model.

Earlier, Jennylyn, during one of her interviews, admitted she sometimes gets mad at Dennis over TikTok. In a video posted by the official page of GMA Network, the actress was talking about Dennis to one of the reporters. According to Jennylyn, during the interview, "Nagagalit ako sa kanya kasi puro siya TikTok." She even reenacted one time she had to knock over the door to ask what her husband was doing inside because of TikTok.
