Rumors on social media circulated that esteemed actor Marian Rivera was allegedly the primary choice for GMA projects. Furthermore, according to the rumors, if Marian turned down the offer, it was suggested that the opportunity would then cascade to the talented Bea Alonzo.

However, the plot thickened when GMA writer RJ Nuevas stepped forward on Facebook to debunk the rumor that had stirred up considerable chatter in the industry. RJ Nuevas, known for his work on various GMA projects, took to social media to set the record straight.

In his statement, RJ clarified that Bea Alonzo was indeed the initial choice for her upcoming project titled "Widows’ War," alongside her involvement in two other GMA shows.

“Hindi po ito totoo! Hiningan po ako ng concept for Bea Alonzo, at ang naisip ko at ipinasa at naaprubahan ng mga boss ay ang WIDOWS' WAR.
“Para po talaga kay Bea ang show at walang inalukan na iba. Ganon din po ang dalawa niyang naunang shows,” RJ wrote.

Bea Alonzo, or Phylbert Angelli Ranollo Fagestrom in real life, is a Pinay actress, model, and former singer. She was born on October 17, 1987, in the Philippines to a British father and a Filipina mother. She shot to superstardom due to her movies with John Lloyd Cruz. She used to be engaged to Dominic Roque but they parted ways before any wedding happened.

In a previous report, Bea was also the topic in the recent episode of Cristy Fermin's show, "Cristy Ferminute." Cristy Fermin, in the latest episode of her show, talked about Bea Alonzo. Earlier, there were rumors that Bea allegedly wanted a grand wedding. For Cristy, Bea is correct in the sense that weddings only happen once. According to Cristy, "Mahahanapan natin yun ng punto. Tama naman si Bea dun."

Meanwhile, Bea's ex-fiancé shared some photos showing what he’s busying himself with after his split with the actress.
