Rico Blanco’s video that showed him reacting to a netizen who said the singer-songwriter already looks “haggard,” has gone viral.

In the video, one can see one of Rivermaya’s original band members reading in a loud, albeit dreamy, voice the comment of a netizen who claimed Rico has lost his suave and already looked haggard.

“Wala na yung tikas ng rico blanco... he looks so haggard,” the netizen wrote.

The singer-songwriter then took a video of himself reading in a somewhat sleepy voice the comment of a netizen.

At the end of the comment, Rico acted like he had fallen asleep.

Netizens who watched the video had a field day in writing their own comments to Rico’s reaction to the earlier comment.

Some of them even said that Rico’s girlfriend, Maris Racal, might have already influenced the singer-songwriter with her trademark humor.

“Dear rico, di totoo yan, ang gwapo gwapo mo pa din hanggang ngayon. ❤️,” said one netizen.

“Impluwensiya ni maris,” said another.

“Nu gnawa mo mareng Maris Racal sa idol nmen??? HAHAHAHA,” a yet another comment read.

Others noted that Rico indeed looked like the song he wrote, “Antukin.”

“Mukha nang ‘antukin’,” wrote another netizen in the comments section.

Rico Blanco is a Pinoy singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, endorser, and entrepreneur. He rose to fame as one of the founding members, and served as the main songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist of the Filipino rock band Rivermaya from 1994 until 2007, and has been a solo artist since 2008. Rico’s songs and performances gained success and critical acclaim, earning himself a reputation of being one of the well-received local music icons in the Philippines.

In a previous social media post, Rico revealed that he has been bullied for 30 years and is always being told how to play, sing, and write songs. He also said that there are people who constantly tell him what he should and shouldn’t do, adding that these personalities have no career but act like they’re experts in Rico’s career. The singer-songwriter and former frontman for the band “Rivermaya” then said that had he listened to them, he might have long quit the music scene. Rico then indicated that he would never listen to them because it’s not those people who brought him to where he is now but his fans.

In an earlier post, many were thrilled at the birthday greeting written by Rico to his girlfriend, Maris. At the time, Maris is celebrating her 26th birthday, which was September 22.
