The video filmed by Josiah Antonio of ABS-CBN News last September displayed Ronaldo showing support for Kathryn Bernardo’s hit movie with Dolly de Leon titled “A Very Good Girl.”

In the viral video, the veteran actor was all smiles as he rode a mobility scooter while attending the movie’s premiere.

Several individuals at the venue were also fondly calling the him “Lolo Sir,” his role in the 2022 series “2 Good 2 Be True,” starring him, Kathryn and Daniel Padilla.

Ronald James Dulaca Gibbs, or Ronaldo Valdez as he was known by his screen name, was a veteran actor in both movies and television. He was notably recognized as the father of Janno Gibbs, who is an actor, comedian, TV host, and singer.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) are now conducting thorough investigation into the death of Ronaldo. In Marisol Abdurahman’s report on GMA's “24 Oras,” Major Don Don Llapitan, chief of the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, said Valdez had a gunshot wound when he was found unconscious in his room yesterday, December 17, at around 3 p.m. Because a gun was found at the scene, everyone in Valdez’s house was subjected to a paraffin and ballistic test.

Kathryn Bernardo’s open letter to Ronaldo posted in 2022 resurfaced on social media following the news about the latter’s demise. The actress published the lengthy letter on her Instagram page after their series ‘2 Good 2 Be True’ concluded in November of the said year. In the heartfelt letter, Kath expressed how grateful she was for the chance to work with Ronaldo. She also recalled how nervous she was on their first day on set and narrated that later on, she and Ronaldo clicked. “You are the lolo I never had,” she added.
